Richard Devereaux, 82nd Training Wing commander, May 16 during the Quarterly Awards luncheon at the Sheppard Club. Sergeant Blackston was recognized for leading a 13-person team while deployed for 190 days in support of the global war on terrorism. He managed $3 million in base surveillance and targeting radars, earning recognition as the best program in the area of responsibility. Sergeant Blackston has been involved in the professional development of other Airmen by hosting a bullet writing class to more than 50 Airmen. Also pictured is Chief Master Sgt. Brig. Gen. Richard Devereaux, 82nd Training Wing commander, and Command Chief Master Sgt. Jeannie McLean present a trophy Feb. 16 to Senior Airman Glenn Davis, the 2006 Airman of the Year winner for the wing. Airman Davis, a member of the 82nd Security Forces Squadron, set himself apart while deployed to Iraq. He led a fire team during 11 mortar and rocket strikes, as well as securing the scene at two improvised explosive device incidents
